Juliana Escovar
Founder of Lunova Coaching | Coach
I’m a professional coach trained with the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), currently completing my coaching certification, and I hold a Positive Psychology Certificate from Wilfrid Laurier University. I bring more than fourteen years of professional experience across law, human resources, organizational development, change management, and leadership.
I began my career as a lawyer in Colombia before immigrating to Canada. Like many professionals who migrate, I found myself learning how to navigate a new labour market, workplace culture, language, and set of expectations, while also trying to understand where my previous experience fit within this new context.
My career evolved across different roles and industries, eventually leading me into human resources, organizational development, and leadership. Along the way, I became increasingly interested in what happens beneath a career transition: how our work becomes connected to identity, confidence, belonging, and the way we understand our own value.
I also began to recognize parts of my own migration experience differently. I had adapted quickly in many ways, but adaptation sometimes meant questioning parts of myself, learning new ways of communicating and working, and trying to understand which parts of my professional identity I wanted to carry forward. At the time, I did not have the kind of support I now know can be valuable during a transition like this.
Those experiences eventually led me to deepen my study of human development, leadership, positive psychology, and coaching, and ultimately to create Lunova Coaching.
Today, I work primarily with immigrant and culturally diverse women navigating career transitions and the middle stages of their careers. Some are rebuilding careers after migration. Others are questioning the direction they have taken, considering a career change, trying to regain confidence after setbacks, or figuring out how to bring their previous experience and evolving identity into what comes next.
My work is also informed by the realities that can shape these transitions. Professional decisions do not happen in isolation. Culture, gender, language, migration, family expectations, financial realities, workplace norms, and experiences of belonging can all influence how we see our options and what feels possible.
Lunova grew from a desire to create a space where women can examine those questions with curiosity and support. Through coaching, I help clients reconnect with their strengths and values, understand the patterns that may be influencing their decisions, clarify what they want from the next stage of their careers, and begin taking meaningful steps toward it.
I believe people often carry more knowledge, experience, and capability than they are able to recognize during periods of transition. My role as a coach is to help bring those resources back into view, while creating space to question, explore, experiment, and make choices that feel genuinely their own.
